In 1975, a group of Sydney-based performers formed Pipi Storm Circus (later Pipi Storm Theatre Company) with a mission of making theatre more accessible to children and young people in New South Wales. The group went on to perform in hundreds of schools, welfare institutions and community venues across the state and beyond. This talk will explore how Pipi Storm’s innovative productions helped raise awareness of social inequality and promote children’s rights.
