Do I need a Library card?

Yes! 

A Library card will give you access to online resources such as journal articles and textbooks that you can access from home. If you come into the Library you will need a Library card to request books to read in the Reading Rooms, book a study space and photocopying.

Online resources for Science, Arts, Business, Geography and more

Science in Context (Gale)

Introductory information and full-text articles, for scientific subjects such as Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science and Extension Science. These are free to use with a Library card. 

ProQuest Central 

Full-text articles across a wide range of subject areas such as religion, business, economics, geography, arts and technology. These are free to use with a Library card. 

Catalogue

The catalogue lists all items in the Library's collection such as books, online journals, magazines, ebooks. If you are studying at home or at school, the online resources are free to use with a Library card. If you are onsite, you can request material to be used in the Reading Rooms.

Eresources

Online full-text journals, magazines, ebooks, newspapers, reference books like encyclopaedias, or images. See curated lists under HSC or your subject areas. These are free for you to use with a Library card.
