In this virtual excursion, you will visit the exquisite Shakespeare Room on a virtual tour and engage closely with Shakespeare’s first folio – the only copy held in Australia! You will also learn about the Globe Theatre and see a very special model held at the Library. This interactive experience will inspire your students to learn more about the great playwright, William Shakespeare!
Curriculum outcomes
Stage 4 – English
- EN4-RVL-01 uses a range of personal, creative and critical strategies to read texts that are complex in their ideas and construction
- EN4-URB-01 examines and explains how texts represent ideas, experiences and values
- EN4-URC-01 identifies and explains ways of valuing texts and the connections between them
Stage 5 – English
- EN5-RVL-01 uses a range of personal, creative and critical strategies to interpret complex texts
- EN5-URB-01 evaluates how texts represent ideas and experiences, and how they can affirm or challenge values and attitudes
- EN5-URC-01 investigates and explains ways of valuing texts and the relationships between them
