Kendall won a Judges Award at the 2015 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting – the largest playwriting competition in Europe – for her play, The Almighty Sometimes. The Almighty Sometimes was her first professional production and it premiered in the 700-seat main house at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester, to critical acclaim, with a second production following at Griffin Theatre Company, Sydney. The Almighty Sometimes went on to win ‘Best New Play’ at the 2018 UK Theatre Awards and earned Kendall a nomination for ‘Best Writer’ at The Stage Debut Awards. Kendall is currently developing a musical with the National Theatre, London, and is under commission to Manhattan Theatre Club, New York. She is published by Faber & Faber in the UK and Currency Press in Australia.
